Diet Plan Given By A Special Friend

A close friend of mine made this diet plan for me to follow! What can I say? I have one of the greatest friend in the world and I thank God for having him in my life. So thoughtful of him because he sanggup 'tailor made' the plan for me to try follow.

Since it is so meaningful, I decided to share what he wrote. Who knows if this could benefit other people. Please read it up & lets do this together guys... Read below :

A Guide To A Better Life

This is a guide on how you can have a better life. It s not a drastic weight loss guide. But if you follow it well you will lose weight slowly, feel better, have more energy and in turn will make you a more positive person. It's a continuous process that will take a few weeks to take effect. But trust me. You'll feel and look much better after this.

Food:

TO GET

1. Whole meal bread. You’ll need food yang banyak fibre. Fibre helps to carry the fat out of your body. Besides whole meal bread you can also get oatmeal. That’s harder to make but it can create variety.

2. Fruits (go to Tesco or Carrefour and maybe get 2 or 3 different types of fruits, make sure they look good. Good looking fruits mean you’ll eat more of them)

List of fruit that's good:
a. Plum
b. Banana
c. Oranges
d. Apples
(Make sure you get fruits yang senang nak makan. Tak susah nak prepare)

3. Low fat peanut butter, jams and all to eat with the bread (You can also have the bread je kalau nak. It doesn’t taste bad)

4. Salad. This is good and easy to get. Slalunya Carrefour and Tesco ada dah siap pack and you can just get that.

5. Plain water (Coke and Pepsi ke ape ke have a lof of sugar. Eat You sugar, don’t. drink it)

TO AVOID

White rice, white flour, white sugar. (White food takes longer to process and will just turn into fat if you don’t exercise. Avoid that all the time. If you can’t, have maybe half a serving, setengah pinggan)

How:

1. Eat at a restaurant you know you can control yourself, and where they have good healthy food.

(For example, if you want a huge burger, why not got to subway and get their meatball sandwich, with whole meal bread and lots of veggies, if you want pizza, have the thin crust, again with veggies)

2. Always have a glass of water, full glass of water before and after you finish your meal

(This is good to cleanse your system before and after meal, plus you’ll feel full before you order your food and will not eat too much)

3. It takes 20 minutes for your body to know that it is full. So eat slowly. Chew your food well before you swallow.

4. Most of the time it’s easier to control what you eat when you prepare your own food. Here’s what you can do to avoid eating outside. Before work, go to Carrefour, get bread, water, jam, fruits and all. And when you get the office, just do your work and prepare your own lunch when you are hungry. Get some salad too if you can. When it’s lunch time. Put away your work, prepare the food and eat properly. Enjoy your food, that’s the most important.

5. Pack some for emergency. Sometimes when we go to places kita slalu lapar lah ape lah. Kalau lapar sangat, pack some fruits for emergency. A banana, an orange, plum ke.

6. Avoid meeting people for business at an eating place. That will just make you eat more. Keeps business related meetings to the office.

6. MOST IMPORTANT: AVOID EATING ANYTHING IN BETWEEN MEALS. Have 3 proper meals per day. Train your body to not want more or less. Have a specific time on when to eat. Katakan breakfast 9, lunch 12 and dinner 8. Don’t eat anything in between. If you have too, drink, juice ke, tea ke.

Exercise:

1 Walk. Walk a lot. Spend after asar walking. Just walk and listen to your music. Maybe for one hour to start with. Walking helps you to burn food that you ate. It’s also good for your heart. (Walking also helps you to sleep better at night!)

Walking is the easiest to do and will help you maintain the weight loss.

Grooming:

First impression is important. Tak kesah where and when. When you look good people want to get to know you, not afraid to be near you and like being around you. Here are some tips how you can do that.

1. Shower with antibacterial soap. This is the best advise anyone can get. Malaysia is hot so people sweat easily. When they sweat they smell. Antibacterial soap like dettol will stop bacteria from making you smell.

2. Shave. It will make you smell and look fresh. Facial hair will just make you look old.

3. Wear light scented perfume. Bvlgari Pour Homme is the best. It’s light and smells fresh. Leave the heavy scent to orang tua.

4. Wear clean Clothes. The smell from 2 days clothes is just awful. You might not smell it but people will.

5. Wear dark colors. They will make you look slimmer.

6. You only need three things in your pocket. Your wallet, phone and keys. The rest will just make you look fatter.

People Skill:

1. Think before you speak. Most of the time we do not think of the consequences of our words. So think. Is it true what you are about to say? Can you really deliver? What will it people think of you if you say that?

2. Call people up instead of sms and ym. If you are dealing with something really important, call up that person. Usually things get translated differently if you sms or ym. If you have to send an email call them up after that. Just to clear things up.

Feel good:

1. Wake up every morning feeling good. Don’t let yesterday’s problems haunt you.

2. Think positive thoughts all the time. This will seriously make you feel better. But don’t let your guards down.

3. Reward yourself when you have done something really well. Don’t reward yourself with food. Never ever treat food as rewards. Maybe buy yourself some nice magazines, or a DVD, or a nice CD. This will seriously make you appreciate the things that you do more.

4. Lastly. Love yourself. That’s the best advice. When you love yourself, you will take care of yourself and the people around you. That way you know what is good for you and what is bad.

Make a few copies of this and paste it everywhere.

It’s hard to believe how quickly this past year has gone. As a Company (DZMS) we had a lot of ups and downs throughout the year. But we are so blessed with how God has blessed us in 2009.

2009 has really been great for testing waters of all areas. And this has given us so much direction and momentum going into another year.

We have some big goals. And we need your help to accomplish them!

First off, if you’re a praying man or woman, we would really appreciate your prayers for our future. We need prayer to be more success.

We went to watch Phobia 2 yesterday. Wow Phobia 2 is awesome !! You guys must watch it for the experience !! It is that good that we feel like watching it one more time !!

If you like being on a roller coaster ride or scream as if you are falling from very high level, then this is the movie for you !! RM11 is more than worth it !! Again.. that good !! Phobia 2 consists of 4 different stories, 4 different ghost.

Note : I came in to the cinema very "penakut" and come out laughing like hell because the experience was the best I ever had !!

MS Oasis of the Seas is a cruise ship in the fleet of Royal Caribbean International. At approximately 5 times the size of the famous Titanic.

The ship was completed on 28 October 2009. Two days later, she departed for her intended home port of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States. While exiting the Baltic Sea, the vessel passed underneath the Great Belt Fixed Link in Denmark on 1 November 2009 with less than 2 feet (0.6 m) of clearance. Her maiden passenger-carrying voyage is expected to take place on 1 December 2009. The ship will operate year-round cruises to the Caribbean.

Oasis of the Seas contains 2,700 cabins and can accommodate 6,300 passengers and 2,100 crew members. She will offer passengers features such as two-story loft suites and luxury suites measuring 1,600 square feet (150 m²) with balconies overlooking the sea or promenades. The liner features a 750-person outdoor amphitheater (which doubles as a pool), zip-lining, a mini-golf course, four swimming pools, volleyball and basketball courts, and a youth zone with a carousel, theme parks and nurseries for children.

Us and thousands fans of Roberta Flack were very happy and pleased to see her concert last Friday (30th Oct 2009) at her Killing Me Softly … Live @ The Hilton Sentral.

The singer is well known for her evergreen classics such as The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, Killing Me Softly with His Song & Feel Like Makin’ Love.

Opening act for the night was our very own Datuk Khatijah Ibrahim. This veteran entertainer is known for her 80s hits such as Ku Sangka Siang Kiranya Malam, Aku Dia Dan Malam and her duet with Ramli Sarip, Doa Buat Kekasih.

Roberta Flack’s concert here was brought by JS Concert Productions and Midas Promotions in association with Dorsey Productions.

Roberta Flack might be 72 but her velvety voice remains timeless. The legendary Grammy-winning R&B star iwill be singing the unforgettable songs she’s made famous at the concert such as Killing Me Softly..., Feel Like Makin’ Love, The First Time Ever..., The Closer I Get To You and Tonight, I Celebrate My Love.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting up and talk to the humble and beautiful Tengku Puan Pahang, Tunku Azizah, the wife of Tengku Mahkota Pahang Tengku Abdullah. We met At Kompleks Kraftangan Malaysia at Jalan Conlay. She was there to get some crafts to be given as souvenir.

She was so humble and we talked about so many things from her cook book to the cancellation of Beyonce's Concert In Kuala Lumpur! In 2006, Tunku Azizah debuted her book, "Air Tangan Tengku Puan Pahang : Masakan Tradisional Pahang". So yesterday she showed me her latest work, the transcription of her new cook book which is scheduled to come out early next year! Way To Go Tunku!

National astronaut Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Al-Masrie failed Tuesday in his bid to quash a suit filed by a businesswoman against him when the Civil Sessions Court here dismissed his application with costs.

Judge Madihah Harullah , in a decision made in chambers, ruled that the suit filed by Norlina Nordin had merit for trial.

She fixed Nov 25 to mention the case for case management.

Counsel Dzaki Ezhar Bahar, who represented Sheikh Muszaphar, told reporters later that he would appeal against the decision at the High Court.

Dr Sheikh Muszaphar and Norlina were not in court Tuesday. Norlina had filed the suit on July 25 last year claiming that Sheikh Muszaphar had breached the contract of her appointment as a personal assistant and demanded damages of more than RM90,000.

In the statement of claim, she stated that Sheikh Muszaphar had not paid her wage as agreed in the letter appointing her as his personal assistant on April 2 last year.

She claimed that on May 28 last year, she received a letter of dismissal from Sheikh Muszaphar after she had secured various contracts.

She is seeking RM45,000 in wages, RM47,751 in damages, general damages and other costs deemed fit by the court.

Sheikh Muszaphar, in his statement of defense, denied having appointed Norlina as his representative in any of his business dealings

He had also filed a counter claim against Norlina and asked her to pay him RM25,000 that she had taken from the Negri Sembilan Action Council, a payment meant for him.

2010 BUDGET BUSINESS HIGHLIGHTS By Primie Minister Najib Tun Razak.

* Malaysia economy to grow 2-3 per cent in 2010

* Mining to grow 1.1 per cent, manufacturing sector 1.7 per cent, agriculture 2.5 per cent, construction 3.2 per cent and service 3.6 per cent.

* Private consumption expand 2.9 per cent while private investment 3.4 per cent

* Per capita income to increase by 2.5 per cent to RM24,661

* TNB to spend RM5 billion to implement electricity generation, transmission and distribution projects in 2010.

* Individual tax relief on broadband subscription fee up to RM500 a year from 2010 to 2012.

* Public-private collaborations to include an integrated immigration, customs and quarantine complex in Bukit Kayu Hitam, construction of six UiTM campuses and the development of MATRADE centre

* 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) will establish a corporate social responsibility fund totalling RM100 million as a start to finance community activities

* Government to allocate RM899 million to intensify tourism industry.

* Government to enhance tax incentives for healthcare service providers who offer services to foreign health tourists with income tax exemptions of 100 per cent on the value of increased exports from 50 per cent previously.

* Individual taxpayers to be given tax relief on broadband subscription fee up to RM500 a year from 2010 to 2012

* Civil servants are eligible to apply for computer loans once in every three years and up to a maximum of RM5,000 from the government once in every five years

* Formulate Halal Act in collaboration with State Islamic Religious Councils.

* To corporatise the Halal Industry Development Corporation as an agency under MITI

* Intensify Halal Certification by the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia (JAKIM) by collaborating with international institutions to obtain standards certification such as HACCP ad GMP.

* To provide RM24 million to develop halal products anti-smuggling system at three entry points and three main ports.

* Allocate RM137 million to upgrade and improve drainage and irrigation infrastructures in paddy fields involving 180,000 farmers.

* To provide RM70 million to build the Paya Peda Dam Project in Terengganu to increase water supply capacity to paddy irrigation scheme in Besut.

* Allocate RM82 million to modernise aquaculture industry and conduct entrepreneurship training scheme for aquaculture breeders with focus on production of fish fry and ornamental fish.

* “The stock market will be further liberalised to enhance its efficiency as well as attract domestic and foreign investment. For this purpose, the government will undertake the following measures: First, liberalise the commission sharing arrangements between stockbrokers and remisiers in 2 stages to encrouage retail participation in the stock market. The first stage, which takes effect immediately, allows flexible brokerage sharing at a minimum rate of 40 percent for remisiers. The commission sharing will be fully liberalised in the second stage, effective 1 January 2011.

* “Allow 100 per cent foreign equity participation in corporate finance and financial planning companies compared with the present requirement of at least 30 per cent local shareholding.

* “Islamic banking assets account for 18.8 per cent of Malaysia’s total banking assets while takaful industry assets contribute 7.7 per cent of total insurance and takaful industry assets. To ensure rapid development of financial services, particulalrly in Islmaic finance, the government proposes that the existing tax incentives be extended to 2015.

* “The government is currently at the final stage of completing the study on the implementation of goods and services tax (GST), particularly to identify the social impact of GST on the people. The purpose of this study is to ensure that if GST needs to be implemented to stabilised Government finance, it will not burden the population. “If the government implements GST, it will replace the current sales tax and service tax as well as exemption will be granted to the low income group. The GST rate to be imposed will be lower than the current sales tax and service tax rates.

* “The government needs to ensure that the Malaysian tax system is equitable and able to generate revenue for development purposes. In line with this, the government proposes that a tax of five per cent be imposed on gains from the disposal of real property from 1 January 2010.

* Effective Jan 1 2010, government agrees to allow agencies to retain 50 per cent of rentals received while the remaining 50 per cent will be remitted to the government as revenue.

* The Government will implement fuel subsidy management system in early 2010.

* The Government proposes the maximum income tax rate to be further reduced to 26 per cent from 27 per cent effective from the 2010 year of assessment.

* Maximum tax rate for cooperatives will be reduced to 26 per cent while the fixed tax rate for non-resident individuals will be cut to 26 per cent.

* Personal tax relief will be increased to RM9,000 from RM8,000 effective from the 2010 year of assessment.

* The Government also proposes income tax on employment income of Malaysians and foreign knowledge workers residing and working in Iskandar Malaysia be imposed at 15 per cent compared with the maximum 26 per cent for the rest of the country.

* Government to launch a scheme in January 2010 that enables EPF contributors to utilise current and future savings in Account 2 to promote house ownership.

* RM14.8 billion is allocated to manage, build and upgrade hospitals and clinics.

* The Government will issue 1Malaysia Sukuk totalling RM3 billion.

* The Government will establish the 1Malaysia Retirement Scheme to be administrated by EPF.

* Employees EPF contributions will be raised again to 11 per cent on a voluntary basis with immediate effect. However, from Jan 1, 2011 employees' EPF contribution will revert to 11 per cent.

* The Government proposes existing personal tax relief of RM6,000 for EPF contributions and life insurance premiums be raised to RM7,000.

* Government allocates RM2.3 billion to build and upgrade infrastructures in rural areas.

* Government provides RM41 million to improve income and quality of life of the Orang Asli Community by implementing various projects.

* Budget 2010 allocations totalled RM191.5 billion, of which RM138.3 billion is for operating expenditure and RM53.2 billion for development expenditure.

* Federal Government revenue in 2010 to decline by 8.4 per cent to RM148.8 billion.

Japan’s Suntory Ltd. announced it would start selling the world’s first genetically-modified blue roses next month, 20 years after researching for a unique colored rose.

The blue rose has long been referred to by horticulturalists as the “Holy Grail” of the plant breeding world.

It succeeded in developing blue roses in 2004 when Suntory, together with Australian biotech company Florigene, implanted into roses the gene that leads to the synthesis of the blue pigment Delphinidin in petunias.

Genetically, roses do not contain natural blue pigmentation to allow a true blue rose to be bred by conventional methods.

Named Applause, the new variety is “recommended as a luxurious gift for special occasions such as wedding anniversaries and birthdays”, the company said.

The new variety is expected to be priced between 2,000 and 3,000 yen (22 and 33 dollars) per stem, about 10 times more expensive than normal roses in Japan. There are no current plans to sell the unique flower overseas.

Amber Chia sued for defamation by Dennis Chua

Model-cum-actress Amber Chia faces a suit from her one-time business partner Yap Wen-Ji (In the photo?). Yap, who created and produced the model search series Malaysia's Supermodel Search, yesterday filed a suit for defamation against Chia at the High Court here. Represented by her lawyer, Kenneth Tan Chik Wai, Yap is suing Chia in relation to statements she made in the Sin Chew Daily newspaper on Oct 6. She has also named Sin Chew Corporation and the newspaper's editor-in-chief Pook Ah Lek as defendants. She is seeking general damages of RM10 million($4.128million), aggravated damages of RM5 million, interest, an injunction restraining Chia, Sin Chew Corporation and Pook from further publishing defamatory statements, and an order that Chia retracts her statements and apologizes within five days. Tan said the newspaper published an article on Oct 6 which stated that Chia was allegedly cheated by her business partner. Yap claimed that her reputation had been severely damaged and the article had resulted in sponsors withdrawing from the show.

Pop star Beyonce Knowles has postponed her widely anticipated Malaysian leg of her tour scheduled for Sunday, Oct 25, to a date that will be announced soon.

Organizers, Marctensia Sdn Bhd said that the official postponement statement by Beyonce’s Artiste Management, Music World would be released by this week.

“The postponement is solely the decision of the Artiste and has nothing to do with other external reasons.

The Amber Chia Scandal

It was an emotional gathering for top model Amber Chia and contestants of a supermodel reality show when she announced she had to halt the production of her highly anticipated series due to a dispute.

While sobbing, she said production of Malaysia’s Supermodel Search Presents Ford Supermodel of the World was being called off due to a contractual disagreement with the show’s creator and co-executive producer Yap Wen-Ji.

“It was one-and-a-half months ago that Wen-Ji approached me to do this. She wanted me to be your mentor. I agreed because I could see and share your dreams,” Chia told the 22 contestants at Celebrity Fitness in Bangsar yesterday.

“I have sponsors for the show through my connections in the industry and I really want to send you to New York to be Malaysia’s next supermodel.

“But until today, Wen-Ji hasn’t been able to show me and my lawyer her franchisee contract with Ford Models

“I’m so sorry and sad about what has happened.”
So sorry: A sobbing Chia telling the contestants of the halt in the production of the reality show in Bangsar yesterday. With her is her lawyer Rajan.

The show is based on Ford Supermodel of the World, an international model search franchise created in 1980 by Eileen Ford, the owner of acclaimed New York-based modelling agency Ford Models.

During a previous press conference, Chia and Yap signed a memorandum of understanding for their business partnership to produce the eight-episode reality show.

Chia also doubled as the show’s chief judge.

It was also announced that the top male and female models of the show would win US$50,000 (RM173,250) each, coupled with modeling contracts.

While the guys would be sent to the United States for training in professional modeling, the girls would stand a chance to compete in the Ford Model of the World contest, scheduled to be held in Brazil early next year.

“I consider Wen-Ji a friend,” Chia told Daily Chilli, The Star’s new online portal.

“We started the show based on a lot of verbal agreements.”

Yap, who was present at the ad hoc briefing, said, “I don’t want to say anything that will affect Amber Chia’s reputation as a celebrity. I have the necessary documents from Ford Models.”

But when Chia demanded that Yap produce the documents in front of everyone, Yap asked Chia and her lawyer, Rajan Navaratnam, to view the documents in her office.

“All you need to do is call Ford Models,” Yap told the models. “I’ve never wanted this to happen to Amber Chia. It’s never her fault. Maybe we can hold another press conference, and I can make a phone call to Ford Models and you (the models and the press) and Amber can speak to them directly.”

The production of the show has been halted indefinitely.

“My lawyer will look into this and advise me on the necessary action,” said Chia.

“But I want to solve this amicably so that we can continue with the show. It’s always been my dream to find the next ‘Amber Chia’ for Malaysia.” - The Star

We were at the "by invitation only" Gala Concert at Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra KLCC on Sunday. The concert was awesome. It featured the mastery of 11-year old pianist Tengku Ahmad Irfan alongside the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and MPO Music Director Claus Peter Flor. THREE gong strikes and a hug – that was how Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and Perak Raja Muda Raja Dr Nazrin Shah launched the former’s pictorial coffee table book at the Concorde Hotel in Kuala Lumpur recently.

Titled “Malay Peninsula: Old Photographs of Malaya and Singapore by Kleingrothe, c. 1900”, the book presents landscaped photographs of the Federated Malay States and the Straits Settlements at the turn of the 20th century.

The 139 photographs featuring landmarks in Selangor, Perak, Penang, Negri Sembilan, Malacca, Johor and Singapore were captured by Sumatra-based Charles J. Kleingrothe, a German commercial photographer who was active in the Malay Archipelago in the early 1900s.

The pictures were drawn from the Sultan’s personal collection, which he acquired many years ago with the intention of sharing the historical images with scholars as well as the public.

The photographs were captioned by historians Neil Khor, Gretchen Liu and John Falconer. In his speech, Raja Nazrin said the pictures were “nothing short of spectacular”.

Published by Editions Didier Millet, only 2,500 copies of the book will be printed and will retail for RM400 in major bookstores.

Deadly Tsunami Strikes In Samoa & Deathly Earth Quake Strikes In Sumatera

A tsunami triggered by a strong quake in the South Pacific has killed more than 100 people in several islands.

At least 77 people were reported dead in Samoa, more than 25 in American Samoa and at least six in Tonga.

Meanwhile, In Sumatera, we've heard that some of the roads to these areas have been cut off and there are concerns about communications - phone lines and electricity have also been cut off.

Indonesia is no stranger to disasters of this sort - the ability to reach people is often criticized and one of the hospitals nearest the epicenter has also collapsed, so there are real concerns about how to get to the places most affected.

At least six disaster management teams are on their way to the city of Padang. We've been told it will take up to 10 hours to get to the areas most affected.

Note : All I can say is I feel bad and my prayer goes to them all affected and those who lost their family members. I'm so sorry.

So much for the idea that Paula Abdul might reach some sort of accord with "American Idol" and return to the show for its ninth season.

Nope.

Talk show host Ellen Degeneres will be "Idol's" fourth judge in Season 9, Fox announced Wednesday.

“I’m thrilled to be the new judge on 'American Idol,'” said DeGeneres. ”I’ve watched since the beginning, and I’ve always been a huge fan. So getting this job is a dream come true, and think of all the money I’ll save from not having to text in my vote.”

""Hopefully I'm the people's point of view because I'm just like you. I sit at home and I watch it and I don't have that technical... I'm not looking at it in a critical way from the producer's mind," DeGeneres said at a taping of her talk show.

Back in August, when the news broke that Abdul was leaving the show, some thought that she and Fox might patch things up before Season 9 began. But Fox, which started lining up guest judges within days of Abdul's departure, is done with Paula, at least as far as Season 9 is concerned.

It's something of a risk for the show, which has seen some ratings erosion in recent seasons. Will DeGeneres' brand of folksy humor be as popular as Abdul's patented brand of erratic effusiveness? Who knows.

Regardless, it's a shame that Fox isn't reverting back to the three-judge format. Four judges seemed to be one too many in Season 8, when many episodes of "Idol" ran long. That was quite irritating.So, what do you think of the judge switcheroo?
