A close friend of mine made this diet plan for me to follow! What can I say? I have one of the greatest friend in the world and I thank God for having him in my life. So thoughtful of him because he sanggup 'tailor made' the plan for me to try follow.
Since it is so meaningful, I decided to share what he wrote. Who knows if this could benefit other people. Please read it up & lets do this together guys... Read below :
A Guide To A Better Life
This is a guide on how you can have a better life. It s not a drastic weight loss guide. But if you follow it well you will lose weight slowly, feel better, have more energy and in turn will make you a more positive person. It's a continuous process that will take a few weeks to take effect. But trust me. You'll feel and look much better after this.
Food:
TO GET
1. Whole meal bread. You’ll need food yang banyak fibre. Fibre helps to carry the fat out of your body. Besides whole meal bread you can also get oatmeal. That’s harder to make but it can create variety.
2. Fruits (go to Tesco or Carrefour and maybe get 2 or 3 different types of fruits, make sure they look good. Good looking fruits mean you’ll eat more of them)
List of fruit that's good:
a. Plum
b. Banana
c. Oranges
d. Apples
(Make sure you get fruits yang senang nak makan. Tak susah nak prepare)
3. Low fat peanut butter, jams and all to eat with the bread (You can also have the bread je kalau nak. It doesn’t taste bad)
4. Salad. This is good and easy to get. Slalunya Carrefour and Tesco ada dah siap pack and you can just get that.
5. Plain water (Coke and Pepsi ke ape ke have a lof of sugar. Eat You sugar, don’t. drink it)
TO AVOID
- White rice, white flour, white sugar. (White food takes longer to process and will just turn into fat if you don’t exercise. Avoid that all the time. If you can’t, have maybe half a serving, setengah pinggan)
How:
1. Eat at a restaurant you know you can control yourself, and where they have good healthy food.
(For example, if you want a huge burger, why not got to subway and get their meatball sandwich, with whole meal bread and lots of veggies, if you want pizza, have the thin crust, again with veggies)
2. Always have a glass of water, full glass of water before and after you finish your meal
(This is good to cleanse your system before and after meal, plus you’ll feel full before you order your food and will not eat too much)
3. It takes 20 minutes for your body to know that it is full. So eat slowly. Chew your food well before you swallow.
4. Most of the time it’s easier to control what you eat when you prepare your own food. Here’s what you can do to avoid eating outside. Before work, go to Carrefour, get bread, water, jam, fruits and all. And when you get the office, just do your work and prepare your own lunch when you are hungry. Get some salad too if you can. When it’s lunch time. Put away your work, prepare the food and eat properly. Enjoy your food, that’s the most important.
5. Pack some for emergency. Sometimes when we go to places kita slalu lapar lah ape lah. Kalau lapar sangat, pack some fruits for emergency. A banana, an orange, plum ke.
6. Avoid meeting people for business at an eating place. That will just make you eat more. Keeps business related meetings to the office.
6. MOST IMPORTANT: AVOID EATING ANYTHING IN BETWEEN MEALS. Have 3 proper meals per day. Train your body to not want more or less. Have a specific time on when to eat. Katakan breakfast 9, lunch 12 and dinner 8. Don’t eat anything in between. If you have too, drink, juice ke, tea ke.
Exercise:
1 Walk. Walk a lot. Spend after asar walking. Just walk and listen to your music. Maybe for one hour to start with. Walking helps you to burn food that you ate. It’s also good for your heart. (Walking also helps you to sleep better at night!)
Walking is the easiest to do and will help you maintain the weight loss.
Grooming:
First impression is important. Tak kesah where and when. When you look good people want to get to know you, not afraid to be near you and like being around you. Here are some tips how you can do that.
1. Shower with antibacterial soap. This is the best advise anyone can get. Malaysia is hot so people sweat easily. When they sweat they smell. Antibacterial soap like dettol will stop bacteria from making you smell.
2. Shave. It will make you smell and look fresh. Facial hair will just make you look old.
3. Wear light scented perfume. Bvlgari Pour Homme is the best. It’s light and smells fresh. Leave the heavy scent to orang tua.
4. Wear clean Clothes. The smell from 2 days clothes is just awful. You might not smell it but people will.
5. Wear dark colors. They will make you look slimmer.
6. You only need three things in your pocket. Your wallet, phone and keys. The rest will just make you look fatter.
People Skill:
1. Think before you speak. Most of the time we do not think of the consequences of our words. So think. Is it true what you are about to say? Can you really deliver? What will it people think of you if you say that?
2. Call people up instead of sms and ym. If you are dealing with something really important, call up that person. Usually things get translated differently if you sms or ym. If you have to send an email call them up after that. Just to clear things up.
Feel good:
1. Wake up every morning feeling good. Don’t let yesterday’s problems haunt you.
2. Think positive thoughts all the time. This will seriously make you feel better. But don’t let your guards down.
3. Reward yourself when you have done something really well. Don’t reward yourself with food. Never ever treat food as rewards. Maybe buy yourself some nice magazines, or a DVD, or a nice CD. This will seriously make you appreciate the things that you do more.
4. Lastly. Love yourself. That’s the best advice. When you love yourself, you will take care of yourself and the people around you. That way you know what is good for you and what is bad.
